Thorium Brotherhood realm Song: Ants – edIT 29 Jun 2010: World of Warcraft public patch release 3.3.5: An inside look of the new raid boss Halion inside Ruby Sanctum (Wyrmrest Temple). After completion of this new raid, we can all agree that the trash mobs inside are a lot harder than the actual boss itself. The video is self-explanatory but for the mechanics that are a bit confusing I’ll give a brief explanation: Phase 1 (100-76%): Physical realm. Tank and spank. Raid will be clustered together, until a person acquires Fiery Combustion (www.wowhead.com Said person will run away from the rest of the raid and dispelled. Meteor Strike (www.wowhead.com is also occasionally cast upon a raid member; run away from impact point and stay out of the fire. Phase 2 (75-51%): Twilight Phase. Tank and spank. OT and OT healer will stay in Physical realm. Raid will be clustered together, until a person acquires Soul Consumption (www.wowhead.com Said person will run away from the rest of the raid and dispelled. Twilight Cutter (www.wowhead.com is also occasionally cast upon the raid;do not stand in between the two orbiting spheres, or else you will more than likely die. Phase 3 (50-0%): A combination of both phases. All 4 mechanics are still in play during the phase transition. Dps needs to be split up between Twilight and Physical phases as nearly as even as possible (you’re aiming for 40/60 and vice-versa). Goodluck!

I spent an entire day trying to upload it in 720p while youtube refused to co-operate with every file type. But I WON in the end. Here are a few helpful macros that every raid leader should use when about to fight this boss with newcomers; /raid (Halion) Phase I /raid Don’t stand in front or behind the boss. /raid Get out of fire. /raid Run to edge of stage, dispell your debuff and get out of void zone. /raid (Halion) Phase II /raid Click the portal. /raid Run to edge of stage, dispell your debuff and get out of void zone. /raid Dodge orb lazers. /raid (Halion) Phase III /raid Split DPS evenly (Melee in shadow realm). /raid Corpo is a boss buff that reqs matching dps on shadow and physical. /raid Slow or increase dps on boss to keep the buff at 50% Music: Metallica – Enter Sandman: 8-Bit Remix by PastramiXXX www.youtube.com Ruby Sanctum Image: MMO-Champion.com static.mmo-champion.com Pixelated Dragon Image: Some Website i660.photobucket.com I apologize for the one minute outro, I just wanted a few thousand people to hear my complaints about WoW. Weapon: Ultima Weapon Master Magic-Quadra Magic Double Cut-Counter Attack Master Summon-W-Item Counter-Mime Armor: Mystile Counter Attack-Enemy Skill Counter Attack-Counter Attack Counter Attack-Counter Attack Me doing Ruby Weapon solo with Cloud! I also don’t use any cheap Knights of the Round Miming like a lot of other people do to cheaply kill him. The strategy is basic, but effective. Basically you have to keep feeding Cloud Hero Drinks (they raise your stats by a lot for one fight) while you continue to counter-attack after he has hit you. You have to worry about the Tentacles, they can do some serious damage. One can hit you for about 9000 damage and the other can take away about 500 magic points. Make sure to Quadcast Cure 3 on yourself when you take a lot of damage. Your counterattacks will probably do the most amount of damage in this fight. Strangley, Omnislash does not do that much damage to him, and the normal attacks are much better. Dead in about 7 minutes!
